CHARKHA SANJOY GHOSE FELLOWSHIP FOR PEACE & DEVELOPMENT
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- The Fellowship is open to all those in the state of Jammu & Kashmir who are concerned with issues of peace and development and have written about these issues in English or Urdu. In addition to journalists-- social activists, academicians, professionals, students and others can apply.
- The applicants should be 25 to 45 years.
- They should have demonstrated commitment to writing on issues of peace & development (Three copies of published articles should be enclosed with the application.)
- The Fellowship cannot be held with any other fellowship or schemes of financial assistance.
- Those who have already received the Charkha-Sanjoy Fellowship are not eligible.
FELLOWSHIP DETAILS
- For 2004 2005, three Fellowships have been instituted. Each fellowship (inclusive of honorarium, travel and contingency) is of Rs.50, 000. The research work and articles have to be completed in six months.
- Charkha will have a right to use/reproduce wholly or partly the articles generated by the fellowship programme in any publication without any additional payments to the writer.
- Copyright and ownership of the work will rest with the awardees.
The application letter should be English or Urdu
- Each applicant must include the following along with the application letter:
- A brief curriculum vitae.
- Clippings of three bylined articles.
- A write-up in a thousand words covering the following:
- An outline of the subject on which the applicant will research/write
- Preferred language of written communication
- Why he/she should be selected for the fellowship
- Details of awards/fellowships held in the last three years
- Two references with contact addresses/telephone/e-mail i.d
