Objectives

1. Establish, run and administer a non-profit development network, which disseminates information and educates people irrespective of caste, creed or colour, towards a better quality of life.

2. Publish or issue relevant material in the print and visual media, produce films, documentaries, video and audio cassettes.

3. Offer support, collaborate with other institutions of similar intent in their various efforts including fund raising.

4. Arrange or help arrange formal and non-formal educational, vocational training, income generating programmes through the use of appropriate media.

5. Offer stipends to research students working in the field of social development. Charkha would be ready to establish, maintain or take over any educational institution in all its branches and facilities, for the spread of knowledge.

6. Relief for the poor be it in health, education or general welfare would remain a constant priority.
